Right Now Group are looking for a to join our client in the Hounslow Area. Our client are a dynamic and rapidly growing logistics firm specialising in global freight forwarding and supply chain solutions.

The Road Freight Operator will have a strong background in Road Freight logistics, particularly in European operations. This role requires expertise in coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

Responsibilities of a Road Freight Operator:

  • Manage end-to-end export & import processes for road freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate with international suppliers, carriers, and agents to secure bookings and negotiate freight rates.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, including customs, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and other government agencies' requirements.
  • Monitor shipment status and provide updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Handle shipment discrepancies and resolve any issues related to customs clearance or delivery delays.
  • Must be able to complete Road Freight Entries.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse and distribution teams to optimise logistics and inventory management.

The Successful Road Freight Operator:

  • Proven experience in Road Freight, with a strong understanding of international shipping procedures and regulations.
  • Experience with CDS is essential
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Experience using Boxtop & ASM Sequoia would be ideal.

Additional information for this role

Shift: Monday - FridayHours: 09:00 - 17:30 Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 (Depending on experience)
