Job Description:
As a Female PE Teacher you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging physical education lessons to students at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, or Key Stage 5. You will be expected to motivate and inspire students of all abilities, encouraging them to take an active interest in fitness, health, and sport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality PE lessons that inspire students to lead healthy, active lives.
- Teach a variety of sports, fitness activities, and outdoor pursuits, catering to students of different skill levels.
- Provide guidance and support to students, helping them develop their physical and teamwork skills.
- Encourage active participation in extracurricular activities, including sports clubs, teams, and events.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel empowered to engage in physical activity.
- Contribute to the wider school community by supporting sports events, school teams, and other extracurricular initiatives.
- Collaborate with the PE department and other colleagues to maintain a dynamic and effective PE curriculum.
- Uphold health and safety standards during physical activities and ensure the wellbeing of all students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Physical Education, Sport Science, or a related subject.
- Strong knowledge of the Physical Education curriculum for [Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, or both].
- Experience teaching PE to students of various ages and abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for promoting physical fitness and well-being in young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A commitment to fostering a positive, active school culture.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience coaching sports teams and running extracurricular activities.
- First Aid and/or Coaching qualifications.
- Familiarity with current trends in PE and sports education.
- A proactive and innovative approach to teaching.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
