We are seeking a teacher of textiles to join this thriving technology department. The department offers Textiles at KS3 and 4 and the subject is very popular at GCSE.

The department offers 2 purpose built textiles rooms, 2 food technology rooms and 2 workshops. You will work alongside 6 highly experienced teachers and 2 technicians, all willing to share resources and work collaboratively.
Throughout Key Stage 3 and GCSE they aim to deliver the curriculum in a progressive spiral sequence to build on students' knowledge and understanding year upon year. The curriculum is based on a wide range of creative activities that develop skills in research, observation and creativity.
The students have a genuine desire to learn and poor behaviour is dealt with swiftly, the successful Textiles teacher will require the ability to plan interesting lessons that capture the student's imaginations.
