Defour Partnership (Social Care) are working with an award winning Social Care Charity recruiting for a Registered Manager in Hounslow.

More about the role and who you will be supporting:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of experienced and passionate support workers, to deliver 24hour assistance to the wonderful people that live at the service. The people they support have a variety of support needs, including Epilepsy, Downs Syndrome, Verbal, Visual and Learning Difficulties, Autism, Bipolar, Dementia, and five out of seven mobilise with wheelchairs. So their teams are trained in moving and positioning, medication, epilepsy, buccal midazolam, autism, as well as the care certificate.

The people they support enjoy a range of different activities on a weekly basis, some of these include music therapy, swimming, shopping, visiting the local pub for a meal, movie nights, karaoke sessions, and enjoying their sensory room full of great music and lots of great things to keep their minds stimulated and have fun!

With Registered Manager experience working in a social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.

You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.

In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area. You will also hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England).
