SEN Teaching Assistant - Hounslow - Secondary School - ASAP or Jan start - Competitive daily rate
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Tower Hamlets immediately. This is a long-term, full-time role with the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of SEN needs.
- Support students in both classroom and outdoor settings, assisting with daily learning activities.
- Help implement tailored interventions for students with additional learning or behavioural needs.
- Work with teachers to adapt lesson plans to ensure the inclusion and success of all students.
- Collaborate with other staff to promote a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Assist in the general classroom duties, including preparing materials and helping students with academic tasks.
- Be proactive in addressing the individual needs of students, ensuring they feel supported and included.
Candidate Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience working with students with a variety of SEN, including learning difficulties, autism, SEMH, and physical disabilities.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm.
- A nurturing and empathic approach to working with children.
- Passion for supporting students with special needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
