Job Ad: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA/HLTA) - Primary School in Hounslow

We are seeking a dedicated Male SEN Teaching Assistant or HLTA to join our vibrant primary school in Hounslow, supporting two children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Year 3. This is a full-time and potentially long-term role, providing an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to two high-functioning ASD students within their Year 3 class during the mornings.
  • Support the students' learning and development through tailored interventions.
  • Deliver in-class support and manage small group intervention sessions in the afternoons.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, SENCO, and the wider school team.
  • Be an integral part of our ASD Centre, ensuring the children are fully integrated into the school community.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience working with children with ASD, particularly in primary settings.
  • Knowledge of ASD strategies and interventions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with children, promoting their social and academic progress.
  • Patient, compassionate, and adaptable with a positive attitude.
  • HLTA status or experience as an SEN TA is desirable.
