Teach Plus are currently working with a large primary school located in the Hounslow area who are seeking a SEN Teacher to join them from April 2025 to work in their MLD Centre, made up of four small classes.

The school is located in the heart of Hounslow, situated in a new building with state-of-the-art facilities. They are a well organised, diverse and vibrant 'Good' school who promote inclusion in everything they do. Children are genuinely excited to come to school and learn and feel safe in their learning environment. There are lots of opportunities for further development and training for staff members.

For the SEN Teacher role, you will lead 4 small classes, directing and delegating activities to HLTA's and other members of the SEND team.

As a SEN Teacher, you will be required to:

  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons in the Centre of MLD
  • Plan and prepare lessons for other classes within the SEND department
  • Be able to write clear pupil reports, targets, annual reviews and EHCP's
  • Adapt teaching and learning to meet the needs of each individual child
  • Maintain consistent relationships with parents surrounding their academic progression
  • Attend meetings and INSET days to further support the internal development of the school

The ideal candidate for the SEN Teacher role will have:

  • Experience as a SEN Teacher, ideally within primary settings
  • A strong work ethic who is willing to commit until the end of the academic year
  • UK recognized Teaching Qualification with QTS
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
