We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and will have a strong understanding of inclusive education practices. The SEN Teacher will create a safe and supportive learning environment, tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Provide tailored instruction and support in various subjects, employing a range of teaching strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to discuss student progress and involve them in the educational process.
  • Stay current with developments in SEN education and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service
