Senior Accountant required. My client is a successful, well-established small accountancy practice based in Heathrow. My client has been established for over 20 years and works with a variety of clients across a number of different industries. The Accounts Manager will preferably be qualified as well as have good general experience within practice and will be offered up to 65,000 per annum alongside a generous holiday package and hybrid working.
This is a great role for anyone who has experience supervising staff as well as handling a portfolio to build on their experience and assist the practice in a period of growth.
Senior Accountant (Manager) Job Overview
- Staff Management: Manage offshore staff, conduct meetings, and monitor workflows and deadlines.
- Client Coordination: Oversee client work to meet deadlines, handle invoicing, and address client queries efficiently.
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure engagements are commercially viable by monitoring time spent and addressing any issues.
- Junior Staff Development: Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and support to junior staff, including reviewing their work.
- Compliance Review: Review VAT returns, bookkeeping, and accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Client Onboarding: Facilitate seamless onboarding for new clients, including HMRC registrations and bookkeeping advice.
- Client Support: Assist the director in client meetings and offer advice on accounting, payroll, and taxation matters.
- Year-End Preparation: Prepare year-end accounts, corporation tax computations, and management accounts for a small client portfolio
Senior Accountant (Manager) Job Requirements
- 5 years of general practice experience, proficient in accounts and taxation for small/medium companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
- ACCA or ACA qualified
- Experience managing or supervising staff
