Sonic Summary

The position is for a Children's Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) in Special Centres & Units, available in both full-time and part-time roles.
This is a Band 6 SLT role with potential for Band 7 depending on the candidate's experience, and it requires at least 2 years of experience working with children and young people in schools.
The caseload includes school-aged children aged 4-18 with complex needs and a variety of speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
Therapists will work on-site in Hounslow, providing assessment and therapy, and opportunities for multi-disciplinary team collaboration are available.
Candidates must be HCPC registered and confident in computer literacy, with a salary commensurate with experience.

Children's Speech and Language Therapist

SLT Special Centres & Units (Full time (1.0 wte) and Part time (0.6 wte) roles) - Available December• B6 SLT role - Monday-Friday (locum role could be either a B6 or B7 role depending on candidate’s experience)• Caseload - School aged children 4-18 years with complex needs and a range of SLCN placed in Specialist Centres attached to Mainstream Schools• Range of Centres designed to support: Speech & Language needs, Autism, Visual Impairment, Deaf/hard of hearing, Moderate Learning Disabilities & Physical Disabilities • Therapists are allocated to schools on a weekly basis and provide both assessment and therapy for Centre children/young people • Based in Hounslow • Opportunities for MDT working e.g. OT, PT, Paediatricians• Candidates should have at least 2 year experiences working with children and young people within schools. Experience of AAC ideal.Information for role: • Must be HCPCregistered • Smartcard and experience of SystmOne ideal• Confident computer literacy skills• Main office base is Heart of Hounslow Centre for Health• Car driver not essential as there are good transport links (Train, tube and bus)• We are in need of a part time role, but are unable to consider candidates who are available < 3 days• The candidates need to work on site F2F
