We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our team, supporting the smooth and efficient running of our school premises. This role requires a flexible and proactive individual who is fit and healthy, with previous experience in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the daily operations of the school site, ensuring facilities are well-maintained, safe, and secure.
  • Managing and performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the school buildings and grounds.
  • Opening and closing the school as part of a split shift rota, ensuring security protocols are followed.
  • Supporting the delivery of school events, setting up and taking down equipment when necessary.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met across the school premises.
  • Assisting with waste management, deliveries, and general site tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school or similar environment.
  • Ability to work a split shift rota, including early mornings and evenings.
  • A fit and healthy individual, capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, moving, and outdoor work.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo a DBS check before employment).
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours:
