Or client is seeking a Logistics Coordinator, who will be responsible for the production and preparation of LHR Gateway paperwork and all related requirements for exports. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with HMC control requirements and CAA security protocols to enable efficient export processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Achieve personal and operational targets and report any issues that may affect performance, such as preparing paperwork for customs and airlines or monitoring inbound/outbound flights.
- Ensure shipment procedures are followed according to operational procedures and highlight any concerns to the line manager, such as generating manifests or consignment security declarations.
- Maintain accurate data on company systems.
- Request materials and services needed to achieve targets.
- Contribute to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
- Liaise with airlines, UK branches, and warehouse to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Prime function to ensure the accurate completion of export documentation.
- Ability to pick up systems quickly.
- Experience with matching export records for export customs using the system.
- Good communication skills and a strong team player.
- IT generalist knowledge – proficient in Windows, Word, Excel.
- Security “Regulated Agent” training is preferred but not essential as training will be provided subject to relative references.
- Cargowise system knowledge is preferred but not essential.
- Analytical skills are an advantage.
