We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Design & Technology Teacher to join our dedicated and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching at Key Stage 5 (KS5) and a passion for helping students achieve excellence in both the practical and theoretical aspects of Design & Technology.

The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Design & Technology Teacher to join our forward-thinking department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Design & Technology at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, delivering engaging lessons that inspire creativity and foster a love for learning. You will be able to bring innovation to the classroom, using a range of practical and theoretical approaches to challenge and stretch our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess outstanding lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Teach Design & Technology to A Level, with a focus on supporting students in achieving their full potential.
  • Guide and inspire students in developing both practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners.
  • Support students in their personal and academic growth, including providing feedback and tailored support.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning in the department.
  • Take part in extracurricular activities, including supporting school projects and showcasing student work.

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced teacher who:

  • Holds a relevant degree in Design & Technology or a related subject.
  • Has a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Has significant experience teaching Design & Technology at Key Stage 5 (A Level).
  • Demonstrates a passion for Design & Technology and can inspire and challenge students to achieve their best.
  • Has a clear understanding of the curriculum at both KS3 and KS5, including the ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Has excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • Is committed to the values of Catholic education and the holistic development of students.
  • Is a team player who can collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school’s wider ethos.
