Assistant Management Accountant Permanent Based in Hove with Parking Office based role £34,000 - £38,000 per annum
Tony Alan Recruitment currently has a new exciting job opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a well known and long standing SME business in the Hove area on a permanent contract.
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely posting and reconciliation of purchase ledger and other accounting transactions and supporting the Financial Controller in preparing monthly management accounts.
Your duties will include:
- Support the Financial Controller in preparing draft management accounts
- Review indirect expenses in the management accounts P&L, posting and reconciling prepayment and accrual adjustments accordingly
- Balance sheets reconciliations
- Post all purchase invoices for general suppliers
- Prepare weekly BACS payment run for approval by the Financial Controller
- Ensure suppliers and teams across the business are sending invoices to the correct contact email
- Reconcile the bank account daily
- General ledger
- Allocate bank payments and receipts to general supplier accounts
- Reconcile supplier statements and purchase ledger accounts monthly, tracing and processing missing documents
- Prepare monthly credit card transaction posting, allocations and reconciliations
- Process the monthly payroll
Key requirements:
- Previous experience of assisting with management accounts
- Intermediate Excel skills (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP)
- AAT advantageous
- Able to work in the office 5 days a week
