We are working exclusively with a small business that manufacture and supply their products internationally who are looking for a Financial Controller. As an experienced Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Accounts Manager you’ll be joining a small and close knit team who have all been with the business for over 20 years.
Financial Controller job duties:
- Financial and management accounting, including month end close, preparing monthly trial balances, year-end management accounts and liaising directly with the company external auditors for year end.
- Maintaining internal financial controls and reconciliations.
- Monthly payroll preparation and monthly submission of payroll to HMRC via payroll software.
- Year-end submissions to HMRC : P60’s; P11D’s, etc.
- Preparing quarterly VAT submissions.
- Budgets, profit & loss forecasts and analysis, cash flow forecasts.
- Reconciliation of multi-currency bank accounts.
- Filing of returns required by Companies House.
- Office of National Statistics monthly sales returns.
- Pension Regulator Returns and management of workplace pension scheme.
Skills & experience required:
- Experience as a Financial Controller or similar, covering the above duties
- Experience leading a small team, the role will be managing one other person
- Familiar with SAGE software
- Experienced dealing with multi-currency export sale transactions
- Previous experience of working in a small manufacturing company is an advantage

This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday from the office in Hove and offering up to £50,000 dependent on previous experience and qualifications.
