We’re looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant in Hove…

Preferably an individual who has some experience working in an accounting firm before…from 6 months to a year or 2.

The role:

Preparing and filing VAT returns within a timely manner to meet deadlines
Assuring clients bookkeeping is maintained and up to date
Liaising and answering any client’s questions
Accurately preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly profit and loss statements, Balance Sheets, Aged Debtors and Aged Creditors Summaries
Preparing Management letters
Following up with clients to ensure information required is received
Ensuring clients software reconciles to monthly supplier statements
Working with accounting packages such as Xero
Preparing company accounts and tax returns (full training provided)

What we’re looking for:

Experience working in an accounting firm preferred
An individual who is studying AAT or near qualified; or started ACCA
Someone willing to learn and continue developing

£24,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
