Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Fabricator Welder to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with welding and fabrication, specifically in the fabrication of mild steel. You will be working on a range of projects, including the fabrication and welding of sheets, beams, and rods. The role requires versatility, precision, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricating and welding mild steel components for construction projects.
- Working with various materials, including sheets, beams, and rods, to produce high-quality finished products.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately fabricate parts.
- Using welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join and fabricate metal pieces.
- Preparing and cutting materials to required specifications.
- Assembling and installing fabricated components on-site as needed.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the required standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring it is kept in good working order.
- Collaborating with other team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with site health and safety requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder, ideally within the construction industry.
- Proficient in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding, with experience in mild steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in welding and fabrication work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with project managers and other trades on-site.
- Previous experience in the fabrication and welding of beams, rods, and sheets is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
- Work will be primarily based in int workshop in Nottingham with some work on site when needed.
- The role will involve both workshop and on-site fabrication work.
- You will be required to work with various tools and welding equipment.
- Full safety gear will be provided, and health and safety protocols must be followed at all times.
