Your new companyYour new company is a well-established regional professional services firm, based in Huddersfield, which has been servicing clients for over 135 years. They offer a range of services including chartered accountancy, business and tax advisory services, and registered auditing. This company prides themselves on their client-focused approach, which enables them to deliver a tailored, reliable and trust-worthy approach to both individual and business clients. Your new roleAs a Business Support Senior, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accounts for your own portfolio of clients comprising Limited Companies, sole traders or partnerships
  • Preparing CT computations for Limited Companies
  • Preparing basic Self Assessment Tax returns
  • Serving as the primary contact for the portfolio of clients and developing strong working relationships with them
  • Preparing periodic bookkeeping and management accounts
  • Training and mentoring trainee staff members

What you'll need to succeedYou will be AAT qualified or qualified by experience, and ideally have 4-5 years of practice experience. Beyond this, you also need:

  • Knowledge of CCH suite (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Sage/Xero/QBO
  • Experience of meeting regular filing deadlines
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • Basic computer skills in Word and Excel
