Audit Senior Job Vacancy

We are delighted to be representing a contemporary independent accountancy firm that forms part of a well regarded national network in their search for an Audit Senior in Huddersfield to join their expanding, modern team and support the Audit Managers with the provision of audit for a growing portfolio of exciting client, predominantly SMEs.

This opportunity will suit someone who is ACA,?ACCA, or CA qualified, a finalist or QBE and we're keen to meet accountants with at least 3 years of practice experience. You will have great fundamental communication skills and attention to detail will also be essential for this role as there will be field work and direct customer communications required on a regular basis.

You will likely be working already as a Senior looking for an exciting new challenge or you will already be working at Semi Senior level and be excited to develop and showcase your skills in audit. You will be ready to support the managers in creating a positive working environment, whilst ensuring the highest quality service is delivered. You will be excited to work as part of a brilliant team who create the highest standard of audit solutions for valued clients. This role involves significant training and mentoring and training with audit trainees too so you'll need to be confident and a good listener, supervisor and source of support.

Job Purpose

  • The provision of audit services in the office and in the field.
  • Support the Audit Manager to coach trainees?and support with their learning and development.
  • Monitor client deadlines and ensure these are met.
  • Identify and assess risk.
  • Able to work alongside and part of the audit team and other sectors of the firm and support with company growth.Ability to identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
  • Confident in networking to promote the department.
  • Playing an integral part in the efficiency of the audit team and championing the firm’s values within the team.
  • Provide professional and personable client-facing communication skills.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified, QBE or studying with fundamental level audit experience within practice
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
  • Supervisory level experience and a drive to progress to mentor and train junior accountants
  • Technically efficient in both audit and accounting
  • Effective communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • An excellent work ethic
  • Commercial business acumen and innovative ideas
  • Great people skills and the ability to network and procure new business for the firm
