Business Support Officer

My client are looking for a dedicated Business Support Officer to join our Asset Management and Building Safety team. This role is crucial in providing administrative support to their Homes and Neighbourhoods service, ensuring the smooth operation of their Damp Mould and Condensation (DMC) and voids teams. The successful candidate will be adept at data inputting, analysis, and managing work orders, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Coordinate appointments, schedule surveys, and manage large volumes of data with precision.
  • Produce professional quality documents, including letters, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office.
  • Take notes and assist in facilitating meetings or events as needed.
  • Process orders via SAP, acknowledge receipt, and ensure clearance for payment upon invoicing.
  • Respond to routine and non-routine enquiries/complaints, providing appropriate signposting.
  • Provide specialist administrative support and make the best use of technology.
  • Maintain high-quality data in service-based IT systems through accurate data processing.
  • Support meetings and events, including note-taking and facilitation.
  • Carry out general administrative duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficient IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Strong literacy skills to produce specialist documentation.
  • Numeracy skills for producing statistical information and managing financial data.
  • Certificate in Business and Administration NVQ 2 or equivalent skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Committed to personal and career development with a willingness to undertake further training.
  • Ability to work well within a team and contribute to team goals.
