Our client is a leading manufacturer of CNC machinery and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.

The Field Service Engineer will perform CNC machine tool installation, service and repair work throughout the UK .

The Role:

Reporting to the service manager the Field service engineer will be responsible for CNC machine maintenance, service and repair activities.
Duties will include but is not limited to the following;

  • Installation, maintenance, service and repair of CNC machinery
  • Carry our machine refits & refurbs
  • Removal and replacement on broken and worn component parts such as chains, sprockets, linear bearings, and ball screws, planetary gear, rack & pinion, linear guide, guide carriage bearing, spindle motors
  • Basic 3-phase electrical fault finds
  • Providing operational training for customers

Candidate:

The successful candidate will be a mechanical bias engineer ideally with machine tool maintenance and repair skills.

You should have a recognised mechanical engineering qualification e.g NVQ 3 and you will have basic 3-phase electrical fault find and repair skills.
You will be prepared for regular travel and overnight stays throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 38.5 hours + OT
