JN Technical is seeking an experiencedDesign Engineer to join a national construction company that specialise in the fabrication and erection of steel structures across the UK.
Key Requirements:- Experience in the UK steelwork industry.
- Strong design calculation skills, with proficiency in software such as:
- Tekla Structural Designer (Fastrak Building Designer)
- Fastrak Portal Frame
- Masterframe / STAAD PRO
- Masterseries Connections
- Work with clients, colleagues, and other professionals to interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Develop and refine design ideas using industry-standard software.
- Apply loadings and calculate stresses and load paths across various structural components.
- Ensure compliance with legal guidelines, environmental standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Maintain quality by adhering to company standards and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry developments through workshops, professional publications, and networking.
- Provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
- Apply a strong understanding of structural mechanics and engineering principles.
