Role Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable candidate to join an experienced Finance team to maintain the purchase ledger for some suppliers and the sales ledger for our small trade business. You will handle financial processes and systems, ensuring adherence to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the purchase ledger: check invoices, input data, reconcile balances, resolve disputes, and ensure timely payments.
- Depending on experience, maintain the sales ledger: perform credit checks, import daily sales, send statements, chase payments, and input cash receipts.
- Assist with payroll inputs and processes as needed.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
Essential Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
- 2+ years in a similar role; AAT qualification is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse individuals.
