Are you an enthusiastic bookkeeping professional looking for a new role? Stafflex are currently recruiting for a growing accountancy firm in Huddersfield seeking a skilled Bookkeeper with VAT experience to join their team!

We are looking for a permanent Bookkeeper to handle various financial tasks, including VAT submissions, compliance checks, and all other VAT related matters. This diverse role offers the opportunity to work with a range of clients and expand your skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full control and management of 30+ clients per month.
  • Handle VAT submissions, compliance checks, and oversee all VAT-related matters for a diverse range of clients, including car dealers, doctors, nurses and dentists.
  • Work with limited companies and partnerships.
  • Ensure clients are well-supported with strong ethics, discipline, and effective communication.
  • Manage and maintain financial records, with a focus on car sales and business loans

Key requirements of the Bookkeeper:

  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Strong communicator with ability to maintain excellent client relationships
  • Good timekeeping, work ethic and professionalism.
  • Familiarity in handling VAT for sectors such as car sales and private medical is highly advantageous
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Strong time management skills
