Taskmaster Resources Ltd-working as main provider of non-academic temporary staff to the University of Huddersfield since August 2014-are currently looking to recruit an experienced and motivated administrator for a 2 month contract in the Registry department. (Contract may be extended into 2025)

Job Purpose

The post reports to the Senior Registry Officer (Course Administration) and will take responsibility for day-to-day operations in relation to the management of student academic records from enrolment through to graduation. To assist with the operational delivery of decisions taken and to support the effective delivery of processes or sub-processes within the area of subject matter expertise. The role supports both the Registry Officers and the Senior Registry Officer in the team to deliver excellent customer service and robust statutory compliance. Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. To carry out a range of tasks within a defined area of work within the teams wider remit and to provide secondary support for other areas of work. This includes taking ownership and responsibility for own work and working collaboratively with colleagues.

2. To support the established processes to maintain accurate academic records.

3. To take and be accountable for administrative decisions in own area of work. This may include providing advice and feedback to colleagues in the service and across other areas of the University including the provision of timely and accurate information to support decision-making.

4. To contribute to the improvement of administrative processes and systems within the specialist area of course administration.

5. To work within the course administration team to help execute established priorities, support the creation of clear plans to meet the needs of stakeholders.

6. To assist the Senior/Registry Officers in the planning and organisation of the day to day activities of the section, undertaking the routine management of own area of work and deputising for the Registry Officer as appropriate.

7. To co-ordinate the collation, preparation and distribution of committee papers on behalf of committee secretaries, to schedule university committees and convene ad hoc meetings as required.

8. To make and record effective decisions in line with the Universitys Regulations, related policies and procedures, using the Universitys record keeping systems as necessary.

9. To develop and maintain an understanding of other areas of the sections work in order to be able to assist at busy periods and provide operational cover in the absence of colleagues.

10. To contribute to Registry-wide projects as required across the full range of Registry activity, working with colleagues from other areas of the service to deliver service-level improvements

11. To ensure all data is stored securely, accurately, confidentially and responsibly; to understand and adhere to personal responsibilities under GPDR.

12. To assist the Registry Officers in discharging their responsibilities in the day to day running of areas of the Service as required, undertaking the routine management of own area of work and deputising for a Registry Officer as appropriate.

13. To undertake any additional duties commensurate with the grade of the post that might be required.

MON-FRI 8:30am-4:30pm (37 hrs per week)
