- Lead, manage, and develop a team of support staff, providing supervision, training, and guidance.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the childrenās home, ensuring the well-being and safety of all children in our care.
- Develop and implement individual care plans for each resident, ensuring their emotional, educational, and social development.
- Ensure the home is compliant with relevant legislation, policies, and regulations (Ofsted, safeguarding, health and safety).
- Work closely with families, social workers, and other external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Manage budgets, resources, and operational processes effectively.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and positive behaviour among staff and children.
- Experience: At least 2 years of management experience in a childrenās residential setting, with a proven track record in safeguarding and managing care.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential. Additional relevant qualifications in child protection or related fields are highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and make difficult decisions.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safeguarding procedures, Ofsted regulations, and the challenges facing children in care.
