Bennett and Game are seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer for our client based in Huddersfield, our client is an established, successful and prominent multi-disciplinary construction consultancy providing a comprehensive range of professional services to the social housing sector. The Structural Engineer will be expected to work independently, although under the direction and with the support of our wider teams, and contribute to the ongoing development and review of company standards and policies. Good client liaison skills and effective communication skills are essential.

Chartered Structural Engineer Position Requirements

  • High level construction technical knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years post chartership qualification experience
  • Experience in design and calculations, with technical competence in most structural materials
  • Familiarity with current British Codes, Regulations and knowledge of relevant EuroCodes
  • Degree qualified in appropriate subject
  • Chartered Engineer and member of either ICE or IStructE
  • Competency in the use of AutoCAD with a structural background
  • Operating proprietary software for structural calculations such as TEDDS
  • A proactive approach in dealing with clients in a productive and competent manner
