Major Recruitment's Technical Division is thrilled to partner with a rapidly growing manufacturing client in Huddersfield, seeking to hire a Machine Setter.

Join the team in ensuring efficient production processes while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The successful candidate will have experience setting and operating the following machinery.

Power presses 16 - 32 ton

Rolling, threading machines

Cap lining machines

Gang slitting machines

Machine Setter Key Accountabilities

To change over production lines in an efficient and safe way

To set the parameters of the equipment to achieve the right quality standards

To adjust presses, rolling machines, slitters and transport mechanisms when it looks as though a problem might be developing

To correctly identify tooling issues and to work with other team members to resolve these when it looks as though a more serious problem might be developing

To take part in improvement activities

To support and advise the production Supervisor in planning change-over activities to support the production plan

To behave in a manner that is safe and that promotes good manufacturing practice

To assist in training Senior Operators to adjust equipment

To work with team members to improve the effectiveness of the change-over processes

To assist in training new setters

To work shifts or flexible working patterns when required
