Head of Compliance and Building safety needed in Huddersfield, £54,317 to £55,267 PA - Reference: 0009 2002 / 1

• Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of a robust regime for building safetymanagement and related compliance and performance reporting. Support the Head of Servicein establishing overall asset strategies, investment profiles and option appraisals based on upto date, reliable building safety data.• Coordinate the collection, management and use of building safety data to enable timely actionsto be taken and compliance maintained. Work collaboratively with colleagues and other keyenablers and partners to develop and deliver programmes of work, commissioning specialistinput where required.• Support the team to introduce and implement Standard Operating Procedures in line withService EQFM approach. Reviewing and updating procedures to reflect changingcircumstances, learning and good practice.• Develop an approach to risk management across the 6 key compliance areas that is integratedwith other asset activity and ensures risk responses are proportionate and effective.• Ensure that the service area maintains up to date knowledge of regulatory frameworksaffecting building safety and that staff are adequately trained and supported to undertake theirresponsibilities.• Advise the Accountable Person and relevant groups and Boards of any breaches ofthe required standards and the plans in place to address this

• Champion the delivery of the Asset Management Strategy, ensuring that policies and planshelp us to deliver the Housing Standard.• Oversee a team of building safety technical specialists and provide line management formanagers assigned in the structure.• Guide and support the development and delivery of resident engagement about building safety,helping residents to understand our strategies and plans and their role in keeping themselvesand others safe.• Monitor and support the commissioning and procurement of suppliers, contractors andconsultants while managing quality and value for money delivered across the service area.• Oversee the investigation of complaints, ensuring they are dealt with efficiently and promptly inline with policy & procedures, putting in place solutions and strategies to address gaps orfailings in the service• Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to monitor and manage thedelivery of building safety works and improvements to provide safe, secure homes and qualityservices that help to support tenant satisfaction
