We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding primary school in Brighouse. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children aged 4-11 with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Our school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive both academically and personally.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering personalised learning experiences for pupils with PMLD.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.
  • Monitor and support the physical, emotional, and educational needs of pupils.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support pupil development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with children with PMLD in a similar or transferable role.
  • A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong understanding of PMLD best practices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
