We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding primary school in Brighouse. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children aged 4-11 with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Day-to-day of the role:- Support the class teacher in delivering personalised learning experiences for pupils with PMLD.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.
- Monitor and support the physical, emotional, and educational needs of pupils.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support pupil development.
- Proven experience working with children with PMLD in a similar or transferable role.
- A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of PMLD best practices and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
