We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our outstanding primary school in Huddersfield. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children aged 3-11, including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Day-to-day of the role:- Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning experiences for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.
- Monitor and support the emotional, social, and educational needs of pupils.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support pupil development.
- Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs in a similar or transferable role.
- A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of SEMH best practices and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
