This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children aged 3-11, including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning experiences for pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.
  • Monitor and support the emotional, social, and educational needs of pupils.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support pupil development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs in a similar or transferable role.
  • A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH best practices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
