From January, a Huddersfield Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in Year 2 with multiple medical needs.

Day to day for this SEND teaching assistant role:

  • Supporting with moving safely around school
  • Supporting child with learning (working at Year 2 level for Maths and Reception level for Writing and Reading)
  • Administrating medication
  • Administering tube feeds (training will be given)

As a support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with his timetable. The pupil will require some medical administration and tube feeding.
