Day-to-day of the role:As a Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, working closely with the class teacher to support learning and address the social and emotional needs of our pupils. Your role will involve: - Inspiring trust and confidence in pupils with autism. - Building team commitment and working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance educational practices. - Engaging and motivating pupils, adapting to their individual learning requirements. - Being a flexible, reflective, and self-evaluating practitioner who actively seeks to improve the quality of learning. - Taking positive action to support a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, ideally within a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
- Strong ability to relate to children and young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- A confident, ambitious individual eager to go above and beyond for children with special needs.
- Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
