Manufacturing Operatives – Temporary to Permanent

I’m delighted to be recruiting for my Client based in Huddersfield to join their expanding team at their manufacturing plant in HD2 on a temporary to permanent basis.

The roles is busy, does involve physical lifting and can be demanding, however the benefits and development opportunities available for this expanding business is there for hardworking, loyal Employees.

Duties

You will lift the components onto the frames, ensure that the items are securely in place using small hand clamps, move them down the line to the next process, then remove the components from the clamps and package the items up ready for delivery to the Customers.

The components can be of a heavy, large nature so Candidates do need to be physically fit and be prepared to work as part of a team.  You also require to use and install clamps which can be rather fiddly!

The Ideal Candidate

This role is for Candidates who want to learn and develop new skills and to become part of the businesses manufacturing team.

  • Must have attention to detail
  • Ideally experience within production/manufacturing environment
  • Good, solid work history
  • Manual handling experience
  • Ideally have experience to interpret engineering drawings/instructions
  • Be able to work Rotating Shifts
  • Have own safety shoes/boots

Hours of Work

3 Week rotating shift pattern

Week 1 – 0600 – 1530 Monday to Thursday, 0600 – 1000 on a Friday

Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 1200 – 2130, 1200 – 1600 on a Friday

Week 3 – Monday to Thursday – (Apply online only)

Salary

An hourly payrate of £11.46 is offered for the first 12 weeks.

Once fully trained a further enhanced hourly pay rate will also be offered.

A Production and Attendance Bonus is available from day 1.
