Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a number one in finance role? Elevation Senior Finance are currently partnered with a thriving manufacturing business in Huddersfield as they look to recruit a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function, overseeing a small team and reporting directly to the Managing Director.

This is a pivotal role for a proactive finance professional looking to lead, influence, and drive business performance in a growing and ambitious organisation.

About the Role:As the Finance Manager, you’ll act as the key financial decision-maker for the business, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to management and shareholders. You’ll oversee all aspects of the finance function, from reporting and compliance to performance management and process improvement, while managing and developing a small, capable team (2 direct reports).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of management accounts, annual budgets, and statutory accounts
  • Oversee standard costing, performance KPIs, and business reporting
  • Manage compliance with tax and legal requirements, including VAT and Corporation Tax returns
  • Support payroll processes and authorize payments
  • Drive automation and efficiency improvements within the ERP system
  • Develop the financial acumen of the team and the wider business

About You:This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional looking for a leadership position where they can influence strategy and business direction. Experience in manufacturing or a similar sector, would be highly beneficial.
