The Company: With expansion plans firmly on the go, this regionally established and highly regarded IFA firm based in Central Huddersfield are looking to attract a Paraplanner who is keen on stepping into a client facing role/remit as a Trainee Financial Planner. It’s an excellent opportunity for a QCF Level 4 Diploma qualified head who is looking for that clear, structured pathway into advice.

  • Office Location: Central Huddersfield

Salary/Package: £35-38k base DOE + bonus and full company benefits

The Role:Reporting into the Financial Planning Director this role sits within their private wealth focused advisory team alongside a Chartered Financial Planner in a shadowed Trainee Planner capacity. Duties will include:

  • To learn all aspects of the firm’s financial planning and advice proposition.
  • To assist in the efficient delivery of Financial Planning solutions and advice to clients in accordance with internal and regulatory standards by effective communication, workflow management and database records.
  • To maintain the firms 'Client Relationship Management' system to manage service tasks, track client work and ensure internal records keeping and management information is updated.
  • To maintain and develop professional working relationships with clients.
  • To develop and apply technical knowledge gained from studies and on the job experience.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, driving engagement and positive client outcomes.

The Person: You will have around 3+ years’ experience working within the Financial Services sector, ideally within an IFA firm working within paraplanner and technical support.   • Required: QCF Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Required: 3+ years paraplanning experience
  • Required: Strong knowledge of Pensions, Investments and Retirement Planning
  • Desirable: Prior experience of sitting in on client meetings/fact-finds and advice compilation
