SEND Teacher (ASD)

ASAP start

Full-time temporary position for 1-2 terms

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher for ASD Learners who is available for work ASAP. This role is to work at one of our partnership schools in Huddersfield in which the school is just a 10-15 minute walk from the Huddersfield train station.

This school caters for students with Autism from the age of 5-16+ and the students are placed into pathways dependent on their cognitive ability levels. The school is looking for a Teacher with ASD experience who is looking for flexible work for at least 1 - 2 terms.

The school are looking for a candidate who is able to start work in the next 1-2 weeks and who is passionate about teaching and supporting ASD learners across the Primary and Secondary pathways.

Successful applications will have:

  • Qualified Teaching Status in the UK
  • A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience (ASD)
  • A passion and interest in teaching pupils who live with ASD
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
  • Full-time availability
  • 2x professional references
  • Right to work in the UK
