Our Client is a leading interior fit-out manufacturer based in Huddersfield, operating across a range of sectors including hospitality, modular build and Universities. They continuously invest in the latest machinery and software to ensure they are at the forefront of manufacturing capabilities. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Fit-Out Estimator who will liaise with clients and all areas of the business to provide detailed and accurate work costings.
Fit-Out Estimator- Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers. Attend on-site or virtual meetings as required.
Receiving and reviewing initial tender enquiries from new and existingclients.
Obtaining quotes from supply chain for sub-contractors andsuppliers.
Theabilitytogenerateascopeofworksoruseclientsschedules.
Calculate in-house material, labour and prelimscosts.
Compile final tenders and submit todeadlines.
Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
Carryout negotiations with sub-contract trades to achieve best costvalue.
When projects are won, managing the ordering process to sub-contractors and material suppliers.
Generating cost updates as projectsprogress and project analysis of costs against budgets.
Generating interim valuations andinvoices.
Compiling final accounts and agreeing withclients.
Fit-Out Estimator Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the commercial interior design, construction or fit-out sector.
Strongknowledgeofconstructionmaterials,methods,and costs.
Proficientinusing industry-standardestimatingsoftware andtools with strong IT knowledge (project file management, email management etc.)
Excellent analytical and numericalskills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with various stakeholders.
Knowledge of relevant building codes andregulations.
Experienceofdevelopingrelationshipswithnewclients.
Ability to manage own workload and achieve tight deadlines.
The Fit-Out Estimator position is offering Circa. £50,000 basic salary plus car allowance and other great benefits! This is a full-time, permanent position based from Huddersfield site, with flexibility to work Hybrid.
