Hague Personnel has an exciting job opportunity available for an Internal Sales Person to join a market leading manufacturing company who are a preferred supplier for many large household names.

The successful candidate will be driven with strong communication and organisational skills, along with previous Internal Sales experience.

General duties to include:

  • Be responsible for receiving sales enquiries from potential customers and external sales team members and respond appropriately.
  • Ensure all enquiries are input onto the CRM System, issue relevant documentation and prepare/revise quotations as required.
  • Take responsibility to prioritise enquires so that tender return dates are adhered to in line with KPI’s and pre-defined objectives.
  • Be the first point of contact for internal customer communication in order to identify the specific nature of query from various sources and take appropriate action.
  • Liaise closely with the Inbound Sales Manager, sales administration and external Area Sales Managers to ensure all sales enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible for receiving telephone enquiries and for communicating with potential clients to clarify requirements.
  • Provide technical specifications and standard drawings to customers and architects and liaise with the Project Team when non-standard drawings are required prior to order.
  • Utilise the CRM System for pricing of suppliers products as well as liaising with various external suppliers in order to obtain the best prices for non-standard items.
  • Establish effective relationships with customers and follow up against agreed contact deliverables to ensure the desired outcomes are being achieved.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (with a 1 hour lunch break)

Please note the role is office based and after satisfactory completion of the probation period (typically 6 months) then agile /hybrid working is available (3 days attendance of the office and 2 days working from home).

There may also be some requirement as part of the induction / training process to attend sites with the external sales team.

Salary: Competitive salary negotiable dependant on experience (£25,000 - £30,000 per annum)

Contract Type: Permanent

Annual Leave: 25 annual days holiday plus bank holidays

In addition to the above, our client also offers a holiday purchase scheme and special leave (additional holidays for significant events). There's also the option to carry over or pay remaining holidays (maximum of 5 days).

  • Previous Internal Sales experience
  • NVQ / BTEC desirable
  • Effective communication
  • Strong organisational skills, with good personal insight and attention to detail
  • Good customer service
  • Determined and self-motivated to meet deadlines
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and innovative
  • Ability to employ active listening
  • Ability to work under pressure
