A West Yorkshire based company are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Mirfield to monitor, maintain and repair electrical components of production machinery.

You will be working a shift pattern of 12 hour shifts: 2 days on, 2 nights on and 4 days off with a salary of 45,100 to 50,200.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will:

Carry out general maintenance duties, proactive and reactive to ensure there is minimum downtime.
Communicate details of unscheduled downtime to the Maintenance Lead and the reasons, with solutions offered.
Ensure comprehensive information, both verbal and written, is carried out between shifts to ensure efficient and smooth handover to other maintenance staff and the Maintenance Lead.
Carry out routine maintenance schedules to the maintenance schedule plan PPM (preventative planning maintenance).
Carry out general maintenance duties, proactive and reactive to ensure there is minimum downtime.
Regularly check the computer SFOL (shop floor on-line) to ensure current machines are all running.
Take Responsibility for ensuring the workshop and individual toolboxes are maintained to the highest standards.
Ensure all equipment meets company and legal health & safety requirements.

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with:

Time served Mechanical or Electrical engineer or have a City & Guilds certificate (or equivalent) in either discipline.
Excellent problem analysis, PLC fault finding and ability to read schematic diagrams.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferable but not essential.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to identify maintenance improvement opportunities and develop action plan to deliver.
Able to use a Computerised maintenance management system, (CMMS), to manage daily work activities.

Due to the nature of the role, a Medical and DBS Check is Required.
