Glass Cutter

Cogent Staffing are recruiting on behalf of our Huddersfield based client for an experienced Glass Cutter to join theirAFTERNOON SHIFT working 14:00-23:00 on a temporary to permanent basis.

Shift/salary:

• Monday to Thursday 14:00-23:00
• Friday 14:00-18:00
• 40 hours per week
• 12.00 - 14.00 per hour depending on experience
• In order to be considered for the higher pay you must have done a similar or the same role for a minimum of 5 years
• Temporary to permanent assignment

The role:

• Operate glass cutting equipment and tools with precision.
• Extracting files with work orders from the PC.
• Measure and mark glass sheets according to design requirements.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of cuts, making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Cutting glass only, no programming until fully trained.

The candidate:

• Previous experience as a glass cutter or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Good reading and writing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
