Laser Operator

Role - Laser Operator 15.00 p/h (33,150.00) Overtime is22.50 per hour)

• MUST BE PROFICIENT IN LASER ENGINEERING TECHNIQUES SUCH AS AMADA, TRUMPH AND BYSATRONIC
• TRAINING GIVEN ON CURRENT MACHINES BEING USED

Our client is a leader in their field and due to continued growth an excellent opportunity has arisen to join a small team in a growing SME. The ideal candidate will be proficient with laser engineering techniques using Amada, Trumph, and Bysatronic with a competent knowledge of material quality and technical drawings.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensuring materials are checked for size, thickness & grade prior to cutting & report any concerns to team leaders / management
• Ensure first off checks for dimensions & tolerances
• Responsible for quality of components that have been cut on the laser & standard of fettling if required
• Ensure customer orders are produced on time & in full to required quality standards
• Marking up of cut parts cleaning & fettling parts
• Ensure all machine & personal safety procedures are always followed
• Ensure all parts are updated & routed to the next process correctly & in a timely manner
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures

Essential Experience

• 1 year relevant laser machine experience with either Amada, Trumph, Bysatronic.
• Training will be given on current machines in use.
• Excellent knowledge of material specifications, grades & finishes.
• Experience of technical drawings
• Good use of measuring equipment & inspection
• Ability to work effectively with a go to attitude & on own initiative
• Forklift Licence an advantage although training will be given
