Are you a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping people during sensitive times? We are seeking a compassionate and efficient Legal Secretary to join our clients growing Private Client/Contentious Probate team in Huddersfield.

As a Legal Secretary in our fast-paced environment, you will provide crucial support to our client's solicitors, handling a variety of tasks related to wills, probate, and lasting powers of attorney. This role offers a unique blend of administrative expertise and client care, requiring both technical skills and emotional intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce legal documentation including letters of advice, wills, and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Handle sensitive client communications via telephone and email.
  • Manage digital dictation and audio typing.
  • Utilise case management systems for document handling and information storage.
  • Assist with online form completion and form preparation.
  • Provide administrative support to solicitors and paralegals.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a secretary, preferably in a legal or private client setting.
  • Excellent typing skills with high accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and case management systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations empathetically.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in contentious probate would be advantageous.
