As aMechanical DesignEngineer, you will be responsible for 3D modelling,conceptual designto Modelling, 2D modelling, Design to manufacturing,material selection, and concession/Non-conformance (identifying, documenting, and resolving any non-conformance issues that may arise during the manufacturing process). You willwork closelywithcross-functional teamsto carry out design activities, investigate and analyze non-conformance reports, developcorrective actions, and implement effective solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out detail design activities to meet the requirements of design to manufacture
- Conduct thoroughinvestigationsof non-conformance issues, includingroot cause analysisand failure mode analysis.
-Collaboratewith engineering, production, and quality teams to develop and implement design andcorrective actions.
- Monitor and track the progress ofcorrective actions, ensuringtimely completionand effectiveness.
-Provide technical expertiseandguidanceto resolve non-conformance issues and improve overall product quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of non-conformance reports,investigations, andcorrective actions.
- Participate incontinuous improvement initiativesto enhance manufacturing processes and reduce non-conformance occurrences.
Work Experience
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- Proficient in 3DCADpackage for both modelling anddrawing, ideallySolid Edge
- Ability to interpret and create highquality engineeringCADmodels andmanufacturing drawings, including GD&T
- Experience in designing mechanical components, parts, assemblies and subassemblies for heavy industry,power transmissionsystems, gear and Gear box
- knowledge about subsystems that impact themechanical design/ layout of the design.
- Candidate should be familiar with structural design practices and methodologies, including significant structural redesigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Experience in heavy engineering industry,power transmissionsystems, gears and gear box
- Strong knowledge ofquality managementsystems and industry standards (e.g., AS9100,ISO 9001)
- Strong knowledge ofquality managementsystems and standards.
- Proficient inroot cause analysisand failure mode analysis techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
