Our client, an industry leading manufacturer areseeking a highly driven Toolmaker to join the business on a permanent basis to support in development of tooling in relation to grinding processes used within the toolroom.
This role has been created due to continued business growth and is available for an immediate start on a permanent basis.
This role is ideal for a driven candidate looking to progress in a stable long-standing manufacturer.
Previous demonstrable experience in a Toolroom /Toolmaking role is a must. The toolroom boasts a full arrange of machinery including Manual and CNC machines ( Millers, Lathes, Grinders) .
Additionally, any tool design activities will be carried out using Solidworks therefore prior experience of the software is preferred.
Hours- Monday - Friday Days 0830 -1700.
Role Description
- Manufacture low volume tooling to precision tolerances right first time
- Operate and set both manual and CNC machines
- Conduct detailed method planning for low volume production
- Conduct detailed tooling designs
- Inspection of critical features using a wide variety of manual gauging and has a grounded understanding of inspection processes
- Online CNC programming on various controllers
- Machine setting
- Tool setting
Qualifications/ Skills
- PreviousToolroom / Toolmakingexperience
- Apprenticeship / qualifications in Engineering
- Ideally proficient on Manual and CNC Machines including Lathes Millers and Grinders .
- Reading of Engineering drawings
- Tool design experience using Solidworks
- Knowledge of geometric tolerances
