SHEQ Manager
My client is a leading engineering company, requires a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager with responsibilities for HR and Office Management.
The Package
· Salary up to £57k dependant on experience
· Working hours: 35 hours Monday – Friday
· Pension scheme
· 26 days holiday addition of Bank Holidays
The Candidate must have
- Minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and relevant membership of IOSH
- Ability to demonstrate specialist skills, knowledge and experience in current Health & Safety topics including Workplace Health & Safety, Building and Fire Safety and Occupational Health
- Able to develop and present written and verbal information in a clear and concise manner, and to communicate effectively with employees at all levels from front-line staff to senior managers
- Experience of working with others to improve organisational safety culture
- Proven experience of the practical application of legislation in the workplace
- Experience of leading training and workshops
Duties
- To assist in maintaining and continually improving the current Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems in place
- To source and provide training and auditing of the above systems as appropriate
- Ensure the systems comply with the relevant Legislation
- Promote our vision and values related to SHEQ to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable rules and regulations including standards and policies.
- Prepare and submit reports relating to company health , safety, environmental and quality issues
- Maintenance and update of Personnel Training records and sourcing updates on training requirements
- Assistance with the completion and submittal of Client database and Framework questionnaires
- Assistance with KPI reporting
- Internal auditing of systems that may also include site activities and supplier evaluation.
- Review of and Training/toolbox talks in relation to COSHH, Risk Assessments and Safe systems of work, policies and procedures as necessary
- Review and development of Company procedures and policies
- Collection and input of data for Carbon Foot analysis
- Investigate accidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents and updating our Accident and Incidents register.
