Stafflex is seeking enthusiastic and energetic Playworkers to join our team, providing engaging and supportive play opportunities for children in Huddersfield and surrounding areas. The role involves working before and after school hours, helping to create a fun and stimulating environment in Out of school club settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead activities that engage children in a variety of creative and recreational play.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children.
  • Supervise children during play times, supporting their social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Maintain effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, safeguarding procedures, and club policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in an Out of school club or childcare setting
  • A positive, energetic attitude with the ability to engage children in a range of activities
  • Minimum of a level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Maths and English qualification of Level 2 or above
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage groups of children and handle various situations calmly.
  • An enhanced DBS check registered with the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
