The Quality Inspector position is working with a market leading, international multi-million-pound turnover engineering business based in Huddersfield. This is a permanent opportunity for a quality Inspector to join a forward thinking, industry leader.
The brand new purposed built state of the art manufacturing facility is based in Huddersfield making it accessible from surrounding towns and cities including, Halifax, Elland, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector
- Documenting non-conformances.
- Creating monthly reports based on trend- going into detail on top 3 issues.
- Assisting with investigations to root cause and creation of a corrective plan action.
- Continuous improvement- Identifying any potential areas for improvement.
- Final product inspection- to assist and advise production if the finished product is acceptable to be shipped.
- Product & Process audits- carry out audits within the manufacturing department according to schedule and raise non- conformances as required with the emphasis being on maintaining product quality.
- Quality champion- to be proactive with regards to the quality system and other shop floor enquiries.
Work hours of the Quality Inspector
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00-17:00.
- Friday: 08:00-13:45.
Minimum skills/ experienced required
- GCSE level education (English & Maths).
- Experience in working within an engineering and manufacturing background.
- Experience in similar roles
- Ability to read from engineering drawings (Desirable)
- Computer literate
- Be able to use basic measuring equipment (vernier calliper & micrometres)
In Return, the Quality Inspector will receive
- £32,000-£36,00 per annum (DOE).
