On behalf of our client, we arerecruiting for a Buyer / Purchasing Assistant to join their busy team in Huddersfield. They are a family ran business who provide the best quality timber locally since 1908 and provide a professional service for both commercial and private individuals throughout the UK.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Buyer / Purchasing Assistant. The Buyer/ Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for managing and assisting in purchasing processes, creating purchase orders, and communicating effectively with suppliers and internal teams. The role involves procurement tasks and ensuring efficient purchasing operations and stock control.

Ideally you will have experience and a good understanding of working with timber products.

Responsibilities: -

- Assisting the purchasingmanager and depot managers with all stock requirement


Skills: -

- Purchasing Processes, Purchase Orders, and Procurement skills

- Strong communication skills

- Experience in purchasing and procurement

- Ability to work well in a team and independently

- Attention to detail and organizational skills

- Knowledge of timber / panel products and the construction industry

- Relevant qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a bonus
