A client within the Public Sector based in West Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Capital Development and Delivery Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a quantity surveying environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to be an experienced PQS working on the Client side of project delivery (preferably public sector experience).

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Providing professional Quantity Surveying services for capital development projects.
  • Preparing feasibility studies, cost estimates, and financial appraisals.
  • Managing and monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and cost forecasts.
  • Ensuring projects meet quality, time, and cost requirements.
  • Managing cost control, procurement, and financial reporting.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
  • A Quantity Surveying-related qualification to graduate level.
  • Experience working within a local authority in a quantity surveying role.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, procurement, and contract administration.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
  • Chartered membership of RICS
  • Ability to apply financial control to multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering 400 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. 320 per day PAYE).
